Reading Wednesday Goes Out to Dinner Instead

Or, well, dinner and a flurry of job-hunting, as it turns out I will be losing a small income stream next month.

I finished Get in Trouble and started The Big Rumpus by Ayun Halliday. This will be the book that I confused with Bad Mother by Ayelet Waldman a couple months ago. Halliday's book is from a certain era of Seal Books when they were still up in the Pacific Northwest and the acquisitions editor had a baby and all of the sudden the list was filled with parenting books. There is a weird nostalgia around reading about Halliday's adventures in parenting and zine-making (!) on the Lower East Side circa 1998, but that's OK. I'm enjoying it as a little fluffy palate-cleanser before I tackle another novel.
